Flemming and Fowler, both 29, along with their friend and business partner, Will Hamilton, 37, were pouring their creative energies into a high-tech training device the likes of which the sporting world had never seen.

and needed another like a hole in the head but after reading about the Casabella WayClean I wanted to give it a try. Ordered straight from Casabella and it arrived two days later. While it is a tad too short compared to the Black & Decker I really liked the way it cleaned my hardwood floors, so it’s my first choice.

No. We are not calling you names. The rubber head on this powerful broom is the main thing that makes it work so well. Each bristle is very sturdy when compared to nylon or other traditional types so they wont lose shape, wear down, hold dirt, or generally not work like those ones will. Each time you pull back on this tool, the rubber bristles will form a solid wall to collect dirt and remove messes. Even teeny tiny crumbs will not slip under or sneak through, and to make sure lighter stuff doesn’t fly away as you work, it will also build a static charge. This charge will eliminate the fly away effect that is common when sweeping hair and other fine particles in order to make that difficult stuff just as easy to sweep as anything else. On the back side of the head, you also have a flexible and efficient squeegee blade. As if the bristles alone were not enough to embarrass the broom sitting in your closet now, this added convenience really makes this a powerful tool. If the kids spill milk, or you just need to dry the floor after mopping, this blade will allow you to dry large areas quickly, and move any left over water into a compact area where it can be absorbed. It is super handy in the kitchen, but also nice when your basement floods, or you need to clean windows that are hard to reach.

This heavy duty tool hook is perfect to maximize space for any workshop or garage. Hang hammers, shovels, garden tools and power tools up to 50 lbs. on these industrial hooks. The tool hook features a non-slip grip to keep tools in place and easily accessible.

Keep specialty tools like scrapers and abrasive scrubbing pads at the ready; they’ll help you deal with sticky smears and blobs on counters and fixtures. Always spray the area generously with degreaser spray before scraping; the cleaner helps loosen dirt and protects the surface from scratching. A cleaning toothbrush reaches into cracks and crevices; use it in corners, the grout between tiles, and around the rim of sinks and fixtures. The toothbrush’s long handle will keep your knuckles out of the fray; stiff bristles work best to scrape out hardened food or entrenched mold.

Even if you usually grab the vacuum when it’s time for some cleaning, it’s still worth it to have a broom and dustpan on hand as a backup or alternative. Not only can mechanical failure or a power outage curtail a cleaning machine’s ability to work as noted, but the loud noise of these devices can be a limiting factor as well. A broom’s sweep is all but silent, so you can do some cleaning even when others are sleeping, or when you yourself simply don’t want to hear a loud noise.

What’s the pedigree of a great dust cloth? It’s white, and it’s made of 100 percent cotton. Cotton is absorbent, trapping dust instead of scattering it, and it won’t scratch fine furniture. White dust cloths show the dirt as you work and are washable, reusable and may be bleached. For an eco-friendly, frugal touch, recycle and repurpose old-fashioned unfolded diapers, squares of terry toweling or stained damask napkins as durable dust cloths.

I am not seeing shipping charges and won’t complete my order until I know what they will be. Most sites I order from have a link to estimate shipping charge first. What will the shipping charges be? Ship will be to zip code 84065 Thanks

Compared with the Casabella, the Libman has a steeper angle and longer, 4.25- to 6-inch flagged bristles. (Our pick’s bristles range from 4 to 5 inches long.) The longer, angled bristles make it easier to get into awkward corners, but the Libman’s too-stiff bristles hamper the broom’s ability to reach under furniture and into corners. As a result, the Libman is about as good as our main pick at sweeping in hard-to-reach areas.

Congratulations! So, you’ve decided to become a better sweeper. Your timing couldn’t be better—spring officially began this morning, which makes it a great time to get rid of those winter dust bunnies. And reading this article is your first step towards having cleaner floors. To find the scientifically best way to wield a broom, we spoke with two cleaning experts.

After a year of using our broom pick, we’ve found it has held up well, though it’s necessary to clean it out more regularly in the tub the older it gets. The ends have frayed a teensy bit more, so they tend to grab onto pet hair more than they did when the broom was new. It’s not really a problem, since the broom still cleans pet hair and dust as well as the day we got it.

The $15 Casabella Flip Floor Duster had the same problem as the Rubbermaid Flexible Sweeper: Its hollow frame didn’t evenly press the cloth into the floor for a thorough wipe-down. It was also difficult to steer and didn’t hold up well in the wash.

Came here looking for a mop rec because my current mop head broke after only a year, and, uh oh, you recommend the crappy one I am looking replace. It shouldn’t be that surprising that it broke considering the highest stress point (where the handle screws in) is made of fairly flimsy plastic. I’m looking to buy products that will last for the long haul and not end up in the landfill after a year or two and am willing to spend more to accomplish that. Curious if you guys came across any mop heads without plastic components.

Hardware items such as drills, saws, sanders and grinders can be difficult to display effectively on pegboard. This is why Southern Imperial has developed a new line of display hooks for power tools and hardware. We have a pegboard hook to display everything from shovels, to shears to spades and more. If you are looking for a custom solution to display your hardware product, make sure to contact Southern Imperial to discuss your project.

Cleaning Tip: We use our Libman Wonder Mop to clean our inground swimming pool. We mix liner cleaner with one gallon of warm water and use the Wonder Mop to clean the sides of the liner. It is especially good at cleaning those skimmers that collect chemical residue and bugs. We never have to put our hands in that stuff. Thanks for our miracle!

To make it easier for you to find the best broom and dustpan kit, we have showcased the best-rated products below. When compiling this list, we’ve taken into account broom and dustpan reviews, consumer ratings, and features.

The Weiler 44008 Corn Fiber Heavy-Duty Wire Banded Warehouse Broom with Wood Handle ($23) is a middle-of-the-road corn broom. Like the Lehman’s broom, it wasn’t quite stiff enough to get the leaves out of the deck crevices, but it was firm enough to do an excellent job of sweeping pine needle and sand, and made short work of fine particles of all sorts. It doesn’t have the sumptuous feel of the Lehman, but its handle is the standard size (57” total length), and it costs $10 less.

The Libman’s 12.5-inch sweeping surface is about an inch and a half wider than the Casabella’s, and both heads have similar depth. Our runner-up has 2,184 bristles—that’s about 25 percent fewer than the Casabella—and those bristles are arranged in 78 diagonal groups with about 28 bristles per group. The Libman’s wider head hastens sweeping, but its lower bristle density and less effective arrangement mean you have to make more sweeps to pick up the same amount of debris as the Casabella. Bottom line: The Casabella is easier to use.

The Casabella Wayclean Wide Angle Broom is the best broom for most people because it’s the most effective at sweeping particles of all sizes, has the best balance and grip of anything we tested, and at only $10, it’s also the cheapest. The detail that truly makes this broom rise above the rest is its bristles, which have a superior density, quantity, thickness, and stiffness compared to every other broom we tried. Beyond that, it meets all our requirements for a broom—angled, flagged, synthetic bristles and a convenient storage hook—and was universally loved by our testing panel.

A broom holder is a simple tool that does not require you to hire a professional to install for you. It would be very expensive to do so. The best broom holders are the ones that are easy to install. It should easy to figure out how to mount them even without assistance. However, you should look for one that comes with installation manual as well as the necessary items such as screws and wall anchors.

Push broom heads are wider and flatter than corn broom heads, and the bristles are set into a wooden or plastic block that can be separated from the handle. You can sweep a larger area more quickly with a push broom than a corn broom, but there are trade-offs. They’re great for wide open areas, but getting a push broom into a corner is a challenge. The bristles on push brooms tend to be stiffer, thicker, and placed farther apart, so they can be less efficient at sweeping dust and fine particles (and some common dust particles are as fine as .1 microns across.) Some brooms, like the O’Cedar 24” Multi-Surface Push Broom and the Quickie Bulldozer—two of our picks—combine an outer ring of soft, fine bristles with an inner core of thick bristles, which helps the broom catch everything with some firm pushing.

Relocating can be challenging and costly, but we are here to help you save money and make a smarter move. Start by reviewing our moving checklist and packing tips for moving guides. Then purchase the must-have shipping supplies to protect your belongings during the move. These packing materials and mover’s supplies should include: shipping boxes, file boxes, wardrobe boxes, mattress bags, packing tape, bubble wrap and moving pads. Next you’ll want to check out moving truck rental and the equipment needed to help everything go as smoothly as possible. The Home Depot has a huge selection of moving equipment, from small hand trucks to large appliances dollies and furniture dollies. If you need a little more hauling capacity, we have solid-wall and lawn and garden trailers. Make your next move, your best with our selection and help of The Home Depot.

The Libman Commercial 825 Rough Surface Heavy Duty Push Broom ($35) has a brace to keep the handle from twisting out of its socket, which is nice. However, between the heavy plastic block, the brace, and the metal handle, it carries a lot of weight towards the head of the broom, which can make it hard to move. Vorce commented, “The weighting is off… It takes four swipes in one area to get the leaves. It holds on to them like crazy.” On the garage floor test, its coarse bristles left streaks of sand across the floor. For the money, you could get a broom that performs better on a wider variety of conditions. Note: We intended to test the well-reviewed Libman 24″ Multi-Surface Heavy Duty Push Broom, but we acquired a very similar alternate by mistake; we will be testing the more popular item as well and will update the story with our findings.
