If you have loads of smaller tools and drill bits and you don’t really have room for an extra-large toolbox, you can just add a small magnetic strip to the wall or just wherever you have room. This strip will keep those drill bits perfectly organized and handy so that you can just grab one when you need it. If you have a tool bench, this is the perfect way to keep drill bits close at hand and out of the way. Via: BHG – Every Little Bit

The Bissell Powerfresh Steam Mop’s most outstanding feature is its flip-down scrubber, designed for tough spots. There’s no need for a funnel or filler because the tank is detachable. It comes with two pads: one is smooth and one is ribbed for use on dirtier areas. At nine pounds, the Bissell Powerfresh Steam Mop is a little heavier than other models, and it doesn’t have the adjustable handle that many customers prefer. However, the grip is designed to be ergonomic and, in use, it doesn’t feel heavy or cumbersome.
To take your tools to the garden with you, simply turn a carpenter’s nail belt into a portable tool caddy. You may also use an old pair of jeans for this purpose. Another thing you can do it to take an old milk bottle carrier to bring smaller items with you.
Its cleaning head has the best flexibility and cornering of any mop we tested, its removable water tank was the easiest to refill, and it uses a continuous stream of steam that’s less complicated to operate than the triggers or buttons on its competitors. The 1940 PowerFresh also looks decent (or at least subtle), it has a reasonable price for the category, and it takes up a bit less room in a cleaning closet than other steam mops. It weighs less, too, especially compared with other mops’ full water weights. It reaches under things easily, and the back of the mop head has an “easy scrubber” useful in getting down into grout.
Hi Marji! Just wanted to let you know I featured you on this week’s Simply Sensational Tuesday! Feel free to grab a featured button in the footer of my blog. Have a great week and thanks for linking up your great idea. 😀
Keep your extra pots on a shelf or in a cabinet. Having flower pots scattered around will make your space feel cluttered. You’ll also run the risk of breaking your pots, leaving dangerous pieces of sharp ceramic in your shed or garage.
The flooring and foundation walls have a Floortex™ floor coating in Nightfall. The walls were primed and painted. The outside walls have slatwall panels with various racks, hooks and shelves and a golf caddy. Overhead racks were mounted 24 inches from the ceiling and provide space for seasonal items.
If you’re going to commit to cleaning certain floors with steam, you want to be able to clean all of that floor. The Bissell PowerFresh’s flexible joint and the shape of its cleaning head (rounded on one side, flat on the other) allows you to get right up against a floor edge, or into and around rounded areas. Its handle and tank can dip lower than most other steam mops, so the steaming head maneuvers underneath sinks and other furniture. The PowerFresh can also lock into a standing position, while most other steam mops make you find something to lean them against.
We used 3-1/2-in.-wide strips of 3/4-in. plywood for the strips because plywood is always straight and never splits—but pine 1x4s also work. Birch plywood was our choice for the strips and shelves, but you can also use less expensive BC plywood. You can rip 12 strips from one 4 x 8-ft. sheet—that’s enough for an average wall. We used four sheets of plywood for our system. For shelf edging, we used 1-1/2-in.-wide strips of solid birch (Photo 6). The total cost for our 20-ft.-long system was about $500, but you could cut that cost in half by skipping the fold-down workbench (Photo 5) and using less-expensive wood and plywood.
It has 50 pounds maximum holding capacity and can store up to 11 utility tools at a time. Installation is super-easy, tool-less, effortless and quick. The package includes anchors, screws, step-by-step instructional guide and video to allow the clumsiest of all to install the holder effortlessly. There is really no challenge to the quality and performance of this broom holder.
I next started arranging the tools in an order that maximized use of the space. It took almost no time at all to screw the PVC holders into the plywood divider. And I popped those tools in there just to get a peek. Oh,yes!
The cleaner’s 300ml reservoir is good for minutes of steaming on the lowest setting, or half of that on the maximum scrub setting. One real boon is that it uses tap water alone to steam off dirt, eliminating the need to buy pricey detergent.

The Métis people of Canada have a broom dancing tradition. There are broom dancing exhibitions where people show off their broom dancing skills. The lively broom dance involves fast footwork and jumping.
It’s not cheap, but I think it’s worth every penny. It was easy to install and there is really no limit to how you can use it. I used the Headcote #8 X 2-1/2 Trim Head White #39 Deck Pack screws which I highly recommend for the job. I have put up six boxes and will be putting up another six at least. Watch the pricing because it seems to go up and down regularly. Anything 90 or below seems to be a good price. I picked up my first order for 80 a box. I should have bought more. One box did come damaged. Amazon is replacing it without issue. They are packed in pretty thin cardboard and UPS isn’t gentle.
These perforated panels affix to walls and hold various hooks and brackets that can be moved around as needed. Pegboard is affordable and easy to install, and can even be painted for a pop of color. If you’re worried you’ll forget where to return tools, draw the outline of each item on the pegboard.
