Build a Dedicated StructureKeeping space for ventilation in mind, consider creating a dedicated structure to offer shade to a machine that may not be located in the best spot. Depending on your garden needs, this could even be incorporated with a place to store the lawnmower, hose, pool care supplies or other stuff. In this example a structure built on to the side of the house disguises the unit while also providing a spot for garden tools. – rmm3876195

Works great! I was so impressed with the operation of holder that I purchased another for our laundry room. I had previously purchased for garage. The holder allows for a variety of sizes and weights.

I have a hard time keeping track of all my hand tools. Half the time, they get left in the garden to rust in between planting sessions. And don’t get me started on all those gardening gloves that no longer have a mate! This simple solution from The Coupon Project repurposes a canvas shoe organizer to keep everything contained.

Design-wise, the are close enough to make hung items pretty crowded, and I had to forgo using one slot on each of my two holders. With the right selection of items and very careful arrangement, all of the slots could probably be used. An added benefit to making the holder longer, with more widely spaced slots, would be that you could sink both of the outer pairs of screws into studs for a sturdier and stronger mount. (It wouldn’t work for every application, but for those where it doesn’t, you could just mount the center screws to studs, as with the current model.)

The position of this part is critical because it will determine how much of a gap you will have between the front and the back of your rack. And this gap is what holds your tools. After much experimentation, I have found that a 1⁄2″ gap is ideal for handling about 99 percent of my tools. However, you should take a close look at the tools you are going to store on your rack before you imitate me.
