The $15 OXO Good Grips Angled Broom is a good broom and made it into our top four. However, our panel decided that its bristles are too soft, the head is thinner and less dense than our pick, and it flings too much debris to recommend.

In our survey, we found that most people want a handheld dustpan, not a stand-up dustpan. Sixty percent preferred to use a broom to sweep debris directly into the dustpan—no brush needed. Among those who did want a brush, most like a long, flat brush instead of a whisk brush. Cleaning expert Leslie Reichert agrees, and told us she’d “never had much luck with a whisk brush teamed with a dustpan” and prefers “a very soft, thick brush.” Good brush bristles have a lot in common with brooms: They should be synthetic, flagged, and soft enough to grab dust but not floppy enough to fling it around.

On November 18, 2014, M.O.P. released a new EP called Street Certified under Nature Sounds. It is executive produced by DJ Premier and features guest appearances from Maino, Mobb Deep and Busta Rhymes.

On the bright side, when/if the threads snap on the quickie broom (like mine had), there’s another hole that you can use. At that time, go get a handle with metal threads and screw it into the other hole. Problem solved

When compared to a vacuum cleaner, a broom and dustpan does not have as many complicated moving parts, thus reducing the likelihood of breaking the set. Even a top quality vacuum cleaner or dust buster will eventually have its motor burn out, its hose torn or punctured, or experience some other mechanical failure. Brooms are also not reliant on electrical power to work, whereas all vacuums are (even those that use batteries need to have said batteries charged). Your broom and dustpan are ready to clean whenever you are, and they will last for years and years.

In February 2008, M.O.P. left G-Unit Records, due to creative differences.[11] Billy and Fame released their next album, The Foundation, in 2009 on E1 Music. The album featured production from DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, The Alchemist, and Jake One, and guest appearances from Heltah Skeltah, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Beanie Sigel, Styles P and Redman.[12] The first single from the album, Blow the Horns featuring Busta Rhymes, and another track called Street Life, which is a collaboration with dancehall artist Demarco, was released on the internet.

Glove sizing is not universal, so try them on. Look for specific men’s and women’s sizing. A one size fits all approach may be fine for some jobs, but gloves that are too big can slip off (often at the worst time). A glove that is too small or doesn’t fit right can cause something you are trying to avoid – blisters.

The $20 Libman Precision Angle Broom with Dustpan is one of the best-selling indoor brooms on Amazon and a smaller version of our runner-up pick. This broom had an inconsistent number of bristles per clump, which thwarted my plan to count the bristles of every broom we tested. This inconsistency is a drawback, but it’s a bad broom for other reasons: It’s an inch shorter than our runner-up and has a smaller head. The bottom line: Our runner-up is better at sweeping.

Forget Target; check IKEA for a cheap-and-cheerful dustpan and brush combination. Their Blaska dust pan and brush combo is a steal at $1.99. At that price you can buy a spare for a workshop or garage and still come out ahead of the game.

Of the dust mops we tested, the O-Cedar was by far the most effective dust mop at picking up dust. Each side could pick up a teaspoon of flour, a test many dust mops failed. Using both sides, the O-Cedar picked up a whole tablespoon (3 teaspoons) of flour, a feat no other dust mop we tested could match. The O-Cedar cleaned 500 square feet of my Brooklyn apartment at its dirtiest—twice—before finally needing a wash. For comparison, only one other dust mop could go this long between cleanings, and the Swiffer Sweeper needed six disposable sheets to clean the same mess.

This broom from Libman with its attractive color theme looks as well as it cleans and would make for an excellent addition to your household tool set. The broom features a steel handle, a hanger hole, and a one-piece resin block. The surface of the broom sweeps out an impressive 11 inches, which makes for fast and thorough cleaning. It is also extremely lightweight and very compact, making it ideal for daily usage.

On hard floors, you will basically sweep like normal. As you pull, a static charge will begin to build. This charge sucks dirt and debris in toward the broom, and keeps it close as you sweep. This action makes your job easier, and allows you to quickly finish with less frustration. The strong charge will also prevent debris from flying away or becoming airborne as you clean.

Not just any broom, but one that they thought could be essential to the sport of curling, which relies on the best broom handling out there as teams strategically cajole a polished granite rock across a sheet of ice.

If our main pick is unavailable or you want a broom that comes with a dustpan, we recommend the $14 Libman Large Precision Angle Broom with Dustpan. It’s not as effective at sweeping up dust as the Casabella, it’s heavier and its bristles are a bit too stiff, and it doesn’t have our pick’s comfy grip. However, among the brooms we tested the Libman was the second best at sweeping , was well-liked by our panel, and comes with an okay dustpan.

A corn broom is what you’d expect a witch to ride on, with a bundle of fibers called a head tied to the end of a handle, which is generally made of wood. Corn broom heads, generally made of some kind of plant fibers, are attached directly to their handles. You can’t replace corn broom handles without taking the entire head apart; the bristles are glued and clamped to the handle and sewn together further down the head. The advantage of corn brooms is that they look and and feel like larger, stiffer indoor brooms, and are easy to use for small areas, light debris, and when sweeping out tight corners.

Unlike other brooms, this one can be used by pushing or pulling. For improved results over all applications, a pulling action will be the best choice, but it can also be used similar to a traditional push broom if desired.

Spray your floor with a cleaning solution. Grab a spray bottle and fill it with a solution made of warm water and a cleaning product like dish soap, bleach, ammonia, or apple cider vinegar. Then, lightly spray the area of the floor you want to clean.[12]

Really decent overall. If you’re planning on putting a lot onto it, similar to what’s shown in the picture, just know that the fit is a lot tighter than what’s shown. I’d recommend maybe 2/3 of what’s shown in the picture to have it feel decent if you’re using your tools often.

Reviewers on Garrett Wade praise the broom as “stiff” and “heavy duty,” using it to sweep wet leaves, snow, grass clippings and lawn debris of decks, floors, and brick walkways. It isn’t ideal for all heavy substances, one reviewer notes, “This is not ideal for pushing loads, as the metal clamps tend to break the bristles.” One reviewer was perturbed by the unfinished-wood handle, writing “Be prepared to wear gloves if your hands are damp or sweaty, or you’ll end up with splinters.”

If you need to keep the outdoors clean, these are the tools for you.
