The O’Cedar Push Broom’s head doesn’t have a pair conventional screw-in holes. Instead, it has what the manufacturer calls a “Maxi-Lok® technology and anti-rotation socket”—a star-shaped socket with a nut on top. The good thing about the Maxi-Lok is that the handle doesn’t come unscrewed during sweeping, and users don’t complain about the handle breaking. But here’s the catch: If the connection does fail, you have to buy a whole new broom—it’s not possible to buy a replacement Maxi-Lok handle, and replacing it with any other handle isn’t going to happen, either.

Lil’ Fame (Jamal Grinnage)[4] and Billy Danze (Eric Murray)[4] grew up together in the neighborhood of Brownsville, Brooklyn and formed a gang called Mash Out Posse.[2] With a desire to express themselves through rap, they formed a hip-hop group named after their gang Mash Out Posse. Fame always had a gift for making hiphop music, with his talent ranging from being an emcee / producer, to silently being skilled on the turntables . His music became his form of therapy when his older brother was gunned down in his neighborhood [5]

The $13 O-Cedar Dual-Action Microfiber Flip Mop has a wide, microfiber and synthetic blend chenille head that can hold more dirt than any dust mop we tested. It was the only dust mop we tested that could pick up an entire tablespoon of spilled flour, and it could cover more area than any other dust mop before needing a wash—we needed six Swiffer sheets to clean the equivalent square footage (and those weren’t as effective, either). It’s big enough to work quickly, yet nimble enough to get dust from corners, and its refill covers are affordable and durable.

Likely to have originated from a forked tree branch, what we often call the pitchfork has its roots in agriculture. Forks are designed in different styles and with different numbers and sizes of tines, depending on the material you will be working.

Material. Some materials are more hardwearing than others, so check the materials in comparison to the price and in accordance with how long you want the broom to last. This should not kinky include the broom handle and head, but also the bristles.

Other uses include using it as a scrub brush to wash flooring, siding or other stuff, and it also makes the best snow brush out there thanks to the flexible bristles that never freeze together or lose their shape. The squeegee side is great for drying wet floors or cleaning exterior windows too.

Professional flat mops are made for pre-moisting. Mops are pre-impregnated with an ideal amount of water mixed with an appropriate amount of detergent. This means that the cleaner does not need to bring any additional water on the cleaning trolley. This ideal amount is often recommended by the manufacturer in terms of weight percent of water per weight of the dry mop, for example 175% water per weight of the dry mop.

Flemming and Fowler, both 29, along with their friend and business partner, Will Hamilton, 37, were pouring their creative energies into a high-tech training device the likes of which the sporting world had never seen.

Next, the trickiest part of the project, I measured and marked where to attach the hinged top. To make the hinges align with the handles in the wood crate, simply measure to find the middle of each crate, above the handle.

Brooms are a slow-moving technology. They have been effectively the same—a handle with bristles for sweeping—for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. According to this fascinating broom history by J. Bryan Lowder, synthetic fibers were first invented in the 1940s, and started appearing in brooms in the 1950s and ’60s. We don’t see any crazy new developments like that on the horizon, so you shouldn’t worry about your broom becoming obsolete.

The Casabella Wayclean Wide Angle Broom is the best at sweeping, the most comfortable to hold, and the least expensive broom we tested, and the OXO Good Grips Clip-On Dustpan is the best to pair with it. To round out your cleaning kit, we recommend the O-Cedar Dual-Action Microfiber Dust Mop. Its double-sided head was the most effective at capturing dust and could clean the longest before needing to be washed.

If the Casabella broom is unavailable or you don’t want to buy a separate dustpan, you should get the $14 Libman Large Precision Angle Broom with Dustpan instead. Its synthetic bristles are stiffer, thicker, and sparser than the Casabella’s, so it’s not as effective at sweeping, and the Libman doesn’t have a comfy grip like our pick. But it’s a few inches taller than the Casabella, has a wider sweeping surface, and a more severe head angle that’s better at reaching deep into corners. Plus, it comes with a (not so great) dustpan.

Even though a hardwood floor broom isn’t going to damage your floor finish,  picking the right one is essential, as not just any old broom will do the job. The finish you have on your floors will determine which broom is best suited to clean it carefully and thoroughly.  However, a general rule of thumb is to always select a hardwood broom with the softest bristle possible.  This will ensure that you don’t scratch or damage the finish.

It does not require any special skills to install. In fact, the manufacturer provides an easy to follow instruction manual and 6 screws with their anchors to ensure strong and dependable wall mounting. Additional packs of screws and anchors are provided take care of any possible problems. Each unit comes with a microfiber cloth. The holes for screwing are too small and this may interfere with installation on certain types of walls.

We had a corn broom growing up and I hated it. Seems like we spent more time and energy picking up lost straws than going after the dirt. I have a red Velida that I use now… very nice. I like the angled way it fits under the cabinets and it gets all the dust. I generally hate all things new and modern for the house… I’m a very old fasioned 23 year old, but I think a corn broom is for the birds. It’s high praise indeed for me to give anything modern a thumbs up! Maybe a corn broom is good for sweeping up outside. I’ll tell you the most interesting broom I’ve ever seen before… a Salton Wings Broom. It is stylish with translucent plastic shroud (some may think tacky), and if you turn the handle the wings spread out to increase the sweeping surface. I saw one in Winn Dixie… got a few looks when I tried it out sweeping up the whole aisle. It’s pretty heavy and I don’t think the plastic mechanics would hold up over time… but check out the link for a laugh :O)

Yep and per our expert- Yes and that’s a good thing! You want your broom to grab the pet hairs instead of them flying all over the place. When you feel like your broom is too full of pet hair, give it a quick wash in your sink or bathtub.
