Extras: A tall, slim basket unit with pullout drawers is a good way to organize supplies. Install a few hooks in the cabinet or on the inside of the cabinet doors to hang a step stool, dusters and other tools. If you use a cordless stick vacuum, having an outlet installed inside the cabinet will make it easy to charge it between uses.

Hang things. Tools such as shovels, rakes and sledgehammers can go on a wall. You can use a track system with hooks, as shown. For a cheaper version, hammer heavy-duty nails or drill hooks into studs in the wall. Make sure you allow enough space between your tools so that you can easily pull them on and off the wall.

Organize up to 30 tools in any corner for more floor space, happier garages, and saner storage sheds with this corner tool rack from Rubbermaid. A large base offers plenty of stability for heavier shovels, rakes, and brooms. With no tools required for basic assembly, the rack also hooks easily to walls with any S hook (not included). This garden tool rack organizer is great for storing rakes, brooms, axes, sledge hammers, trowels, pruners, and more, the unit measures 32 by 18 by 20 inches (height by width by depth). Constructed of durable plastic resin, the rack will not rust, dent, rot or peel for years of reliable corner storage.

A stand-alone dustpan should clip to your broom for storage, and be sturdy enough not to bend a lot or break under moderate pressure. A comfortable grip is a nice perk, and a good dustpan set should have a hole for hanging on a hook. Dustpans shouldn’t be expensive; our survey told us most people want to spend $6 on a dustpan and up to $12 for a dustpan/brush combo set.

This mop is big – about 18 long x 7 wide. So it does floors quickly. Used it on wood and tile. Label said it can even be used on stone, and is good for pet hair. It picks up the dirt and dust easily. It has a release button you press with your foot to take the pad off and wash it. It has a twist…  see moreof Terry’s review

The best material for a reusable dust mop head is microfiber, because it’s the most effective at attracting and absorbing dust, and it lasts the longest when cared for properly. Cotton is the worst option because it can rot, it stretches when washed, and it must be treated with chemicals to attract and hold dust. Synthetic microfiber blends have none of those drawbacks. The backing of the dust mop head can also be cotton or synthetic, and you’ll want a synthetic backing for the same reason—cotton stretches when washed and rots as bacteria consume the organic material.

The autumn and winter season of Sunday morning children’s programmes on BBC2 was given a new title, BFT2. Links were presented by Simon Parkin and Philippa Forrester, joined occasionally by Andi Peters. The diner set was re-used, following a small revamp. Simon Parkin left Children’s BBC after the final edition of BFT2, populated by celebrity American lookalikes, in February 1992. Simon was to become GMTV’s main children’s presenter at launch and now looks after the weather for ITV’s Thames Valley regional service.

As CBBC links were live, few of them were recorded. Here, we bring together some surviving clips, plus features from other programmes on the ‘Broom Cupboard’ and a gallery of photographs showing the presenters and puppets.

Use a table saw or circular saw to rip shelving 1/2 in. wider than the depth of the shelf bracket. Use 3/4-in.-thick plywood or solid wood for the shelves—it’s stronger and resists sagging better than any particleboard shelving product available.

For that same price, around $32, I can get about four years of life out of our reusable dust mop pick. Electricity and water prices vary, as does washer efficiency, but here’s how I calculated my costs: In New York City, a single warm load of laundry costs about 30 cents (7 cents for electricity, 5 cents for water, and 18 cents for our recommended detergent). Washing bi-weekly comes out to $7.80 per year. After four full years, my cost will be about $32, which is what the Swiffer refills totaled after just one year. Of course, I’ll have washed the reusable refill 100 times by then, and that means I’ll need to buy a $10 replacement, which brings my total to $42. If I use Swiffer sheets for the same period of time, I’d need about 624 sheets—that’s $130 total.

The Empress is the card of femininity and fertility, not only the mother of children, but also the career of others, and the nurturer of the Earth around her. She is the voice of reason and the healer of troubles. She is definitely the matriarch. As such, she sacrifices her own needs for those she loves. But beware anyone who hurts her children or her loved ones. She will do battle like a lioness! Happy Empress day ladies!!! Blessed Be xx

I ordered this because it looked great in the picture. I wish that people were more honest when rating product information! How can someone be so happy with something when the quality is not there? This dust mop is flimsy and the handle must be screwed back into place several times during use. I have all hardwood floors. If you do I would recommend buying something more industrial for use. This was my fault and everytime I use it I will be reminded that I should have been more aware of what I was doing when ordering and not trusted those 4 and 5 star reviews

Before you can begin cleaning and organizing the garage, you have to sort what you have stored in there. Grab a lot of boxes and start organizing things by similarity. Once you know what you have and what you need to store, you can hang hooks, put up shelves to hold plastic bins and otherwise get everything perfectly organized. If you want a dustpan-and-brush set—to clean small messes, or if you don’t like using a big broom to sweep into a dustpan—we recommend the Target Up & Up Dustpan Set. Going by the set’s dustpan alone, none of our panel members liked it better than the OXO dustpan because it’s narrower, its lip leaves more dust behind, and it isn’t as comfortable to hold. It was, however, part of the best of eight brush-and-dustpan sets we tested, and its brush was the only one with flagged bristles, which really help capture dust.
