Just don’t be a moron like me and buy this mop with a regular bucket. *facepalm* I took a quick look at this article while at Target last night to buy a mop, and somehow I missed the part where you said there was no wringer on it. Guess who had to wring out the mop by hand when I went to use it…

This storage system solves two challenges: first, how to design storage space for the narrow alley between the garage side wall and your car; and second, how to create a solid mounting surface to hold shelves and hooks that are capable of carrying hundreds of pounds of stuff.
Whether you’ve got green fingers or not, keep your equipment to hand in storage boxes and cupboards. Tidy gardening tools away in a box that doubles as a seat, or choose a full-length cupboard for tall equipment. They’ll keep your gear rust free and don’t take up much room.
Ideally, a kitchen cabinet can hold both brooms and mops, as these two tools do the lion’s share of the work in this room. In addition to a tall, narrow space to hold them, you’ll need a safe place for cleaning peg panel board easily mounts to wall. Mounting hardware not included. Saves you time and energy. Includes 18 small red bins each capable of handling up to 2 lbs. Of load and 12 blue bins – each…
The solution is to create a framework of horizontal wood strips and inexpensive shelf standards. It can hold almost any arrangement of shelving and hooks, at any point on the wall, and it’s easy to rearrange.
When auto mechanics need a trouble light, receptacle or compressed air, they just reach for the ceiling and pull down whatever hose or cord they need. Now you can too. The Chamberlain Garage Power Station mounts on your ceiling and has a 25-ft. multifunction pull-down/retractable ‘hose’ to provide light, power and compressed air.
Here’s a slick way to store a whole cluster of tools on pegboard with only two pegs. Cut some 2-1/2 in. wide mini shelves; drill holes or slots for router bits, screwdrivers, chisels and files; then drill a couple of 1/8-in. holes in the edges for the 1/8-in. diameter pegs. With a vise and pliers, bend the pegs to about 85 degrees and hammer them into the holes. Be sure the pegs fit tightly in the wood so the shelves can’t fall off.

It’s easy to write off a utility closet as a space for tossing everything you use to keep your otherwise organized house in order. Of course, while a broom closet is typically home to the household vacuum cleaner, cleaning products and dusting rags, it’s still a closet that craves organization.
If you have kids, you have balls—basketballs, soccer balls, rubber balls and other round objects that roll around underfoot. Here’s a perfect way to use that narrow gap between a pair of garage doors (if you’re blessed with such an awkward spot). Just install angled “ball ramps” made from scrap wood. The balls fit neatly in the gap, and because the ball ramp is right there at the edge of the garage, kids are more likely to use it.
I’m not sure that storing paint in jars is a good idea. More than 10 years ago, I sponge painted my bathroom. I mixed 4 or 5 custom colors to sponge over the solid base coat. I poured the left over mixed colors into baby food jars. Now they are either dried out or the lids are stuck on so I can’t use the colors for touch ups. Some of the paint on the walls has blistered and cracked even though I added glaze and I have no way to duplicate the colors to make repairs. I will probably just cover some of them with small pictures or wide hooks for bathrobes, which are much needed anyway.

By relocating the laundry area to another level of the townhouse, removing the wall between the spaces, and expanding the range wall by removing a broom closet, additional space was created for the kitchen.

A well-reviewed alternative to the Twist & Shout, the O-Cedar EasyWring Spin Mop and Bucket System (Est. $35) has attracted plenty of fans of its own. The main difference between the O-Cedar EasyWring Spin Mop and the Twist & Shout is the wringing mechanism. While you simply push down on the handle of the Twist & Shout to activate the wringer, the O-Cedar EasyWring requires you to pump a pedal on the side of the bucket. Reviewers say this works well for the most part, but it may require some trial and error to leave the mop damp, not overly wet. A splash guard helps keep water in the bucket instead of all over the floor.
The Rubbermaid Commercial Gripper Mop Handle features plastic jaws that firmly grip the mop head and hold it securely in place. This easy-to-use mopping accessory allows for quick mop changes and fits most 5-inch-wide headband mops.
This garden tool organizer is rather large with a length of over 8 feet. Highly durable product and manufactured in China. Steel rail can be held on walls and other surfaces. Can hold up to 24 garden tools and is available in the color silver. As long as there is plenty of space, this tool storage system works incredibly. 8 feet is huge, not something you find in the everyday organizer. A lot of people may think that 8 feet is going to take up a lot of space. Well, this is not exactly true. Remember, this is just a rail, not something boxy that has to be in a precise location.
