The OXO’s handle did break during our testing, but only after some serious abuse. We clipped the OXO to the Casabella broom and violently shook the broom, and the dustpan flew off and smacked into the floor, where the handle cracked. Luckily, the black rubber grip holds the hard plastic together, and the break is hardly noticeable. Even cracked, the dustpan still securely grips the handle of our Casabella broom, but we’ll keep an eye on it to see if the crack becomes more pronounced over time.

If the recording session is broken up over a period of time, payment may be required either in advance or in installments to cover time that has been used. The Broom Cupboard reserves the right to implement these payment terms where applicable.

I’m with you on not throwing dustmop cloths in with clothes… seems like a bad idea to me… I actually have yet to wash my dust mop cloth, because so far, I’ve done a good enough job of getting the biggest and baddest stuff with the regular broom+dustpan, so all I’ve had to do with the dustmop cloth to clean it is shake it out outside… but, eventually, it *will* need washing, and at that point, I think the best bet is to just put it on its own cycle or have a separate washbasin handy (which I don’t have, so I’ll probably just end up hand-washing it in the kitchen sink).

Use super-narrow spaces – Storage for all those essential mops, brooms and brushes does not need to be wide: a space as narrow as 20cm can be enough. Exploit forgotten corners, too. A narrow space down the side of a tall cupboard or fridge can become accessible and useful if you install pull-out storage, like this sliding set of hooks.

Rather than looking for a specific type of frame, we considered anything easily maneuverable that could reach underneath furniture and into corners, with a sturdy handle and a smooth steering mechanism that’s easy to control. wanted a dust mop cover that could be removed without getting dust everywhere, one that could hold a lot of debris before needing to be washed, and one that could survive dozens of washings. We also factored in the price of the a new cover, because it will have to be replaced eventually—$10 should be plenty.

You really don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a garage organization system. You can make one yourself and save money, plus you get to make it exactly how you need it. Just adding a few shelves will help immensely with storage issues and when you utilize wall space, you have much more floor room for larger items. An entry hall can do more than welcome guests; it can operate as a command center for families of all sizes. Hallway walls accommodate hooks for storing backpacks and shoe racks that corral incoming shoes and boots. A wall-mounted secretary-style desk provides slots for sorting bills, cubbies for phones and phone books, and a desktop for setting a laptop computer.

In the summer of 1989, the BBC1 Presentation Control Room was re-equipped for NICAM digital stereo and during this time, Children’s BBC decamped to sub control, down the corridor, once more. The new location was referred to on screen as The Boiler Room – a fitting term giving the ageing equipment in use in there. Unusually the camera angle used differed – the presenter sat not behind the desk, but stood in front of the monitor stack.

Debbie hosted Children’s BBC for eight weeks before Phillip returned. Her link features included Silly Snaps, where amusing photographs sent in by viewers were shown. Debbie also had a bizarre obsession with wigwams. She called her producer – also never seen in vision – Aristotle.

The $15 Casabella Flip Floor Duster had the same problem as the Rubbermaid Flexible Sweeper: Its hollow frame didn’t evenly press the cloth into the floor for a thorough wipe-down. It was also difficult to steer and didn’t hold up well in the wash.

Carve up your cupboards – Create cupboards that have a rich inner life by carefully thinking about what you’ll use the storage for at the planning stage of a project. This is especially true in kitchens where, after fitting your units, you’ll most likely have a space left with odd dimensions, where a regular kitchen unit won’t fit.

Our panel testers loved the Casabella; three panel members ranked it the best, one panel member ranked it second behind our runner-up, the Libman Large Precision Angle Broom with Dustpan. You can’t get much from the reviews on Amazon, as it has only three (it had zero when we started). One person clearly stored their broom on its bristles and doesn’t like that the ends are frayed, one person thinks it’s too floppy, and another person’s review just says “great broom!”
