And for the curious, the outside view. David is about 1/2 way done with getting in the wood for next winter. The verticle lumber helps with the cord wood stacks and keeping an opening to the tool area. The tool storage area is to the right behind the solid wall.

The cleaner’s 300ml reservoir is good for 15-20 minutes of steaming on the lowest setting, or half of that on the maximum scrub setting. One real boon is that it uses tap water alone to steam off dirt, eliminating the need to buy pricey detergent.

Make a pencil mark on the wood where you want each handle to go, keeping in mind that the handles should be evenly spaced. In place of two handles, I used vintage spring clips—great for holding long-handled tools—that I scored at a flea market, but hardware stores sell new clips in various shapes and sizes.

GL Custom steel cabinetry provides a snug fit and maximizes the space on the back wall. A butcher block countertop and diamond plate backsplash provides a nice clean look. Cappuccino Floortex™ floor coating was used on the floor after it was repaired.

Folding Wall-Mounted Workbench by Bench Solution saves valuable floor space, provides a heavy-duty work surface with a load rating, folds down to take up less than 4 inches of garage space, and can be customized for your height.

The Quickie Professional 7-1/4 inch Wire-Wound Corn Whisk Broom is ideal for small clean-ups. It is wire-wound fro strength and has 2 rows of reinforced nylon stitching. There is a sturdy metal hang-up feature for quick storage.

If you have a lot of steam-tolerating stone floor to clean, you’re going to go through multiple cloth mop heads in one session—and in that case, it’s worth upgrading to the Shark Genius Steam Pocket Mop System. You can flip over a cloth mop cover and use the other side without having to stop the mop and you can change out covers without touching them while they’re hot and messy. The Genius Steam Pocket Mop is also relatively lightweight, maneuvers well (though not as well as our top pick), and uses Shark mop head covers that are easy to wash or replace.

The fencing wall surface shifts to become the huge above door of the garage. Due to the fact that the roofing plane of the garage overlaps the personal swimming pool area (to the left), it develops an obscurity about where the garage ends as well as the pool starts.

The flooring and foundation walls have a Floortex™ floor coating in Nightfall. The walls were primed and painted. The outside walls have slatwall panels with various racks, hooks and shelves and a golf caddy. Overhead racks were mounted 24 inches from the ceiling and provide space for seasonal items.

The scrub brush and nylon utility brushes did an amazing job on our floors and walls, removing years of grime that couldn’t be touched by other cleaning products. The nylon utility brush also refreshed our low-pile carpet, removing stains and unflattening the fibers. On the area rug, it removed stains, but did pull on the fibers, so we would have preferred a more gentle tool there.

This Whisk Broom is easy to clean – simply rinse over water and reuse. The broom features blue colored fibers with a white comfort grip handle. Poly fibers for indoor and outdoor use. Fibers are tough…

If you don’t already have a mud room, the garage is the perfect to set one up. A few locker cabinets and some canvas totes give you the perfect place to keep jackets and muddy shoes from entering your home. You can set this system up just inside the garage door and save yourself from mopping every time someone comes in. Via: BHG – Cubbies for Kids

Shiny metal panels have long served as a stylish finish for high-end garages and workshops. Create this look with simple corrugated sheet metal or even metal roofing panels, which come in steel, copper and a variety of other finishes. For a more finished look, seek out specialty metal panels designed for use on garage walls. Many of these panels screw right to the wood framing on the walls, allowing for quick and easy installation. If you plan to install panels vertically, plan to add horizontal wood framing members, or purlins, perpendicular to the wall framing.

Wood sheathing, such as plywood or oriented strandboard (OSB), stands for a straightforward yet economical surface choice for garage walls. It could be fastened directly to the wall mounting utilizing screws, yet calls for none of the taping and finishing associated with drywall.

A sturdy cabinet can be ideal for tucking tools, bags of soil, and other supplies out of sight. If you have children, choose a style with lockable doors to secure dangerous items, such as sharp tools, weed killer, and insecticide.

Attach a board with hat pegs or coat hooks to the side of your cart. Use the pegs or hooks to neatly hang your tools from the cart so you can reach the easily as you kneel in the garden. This will also help you free up space on the top of the cart for your seedlings, pots, fertilizer, or other supplies.[10]

Exactly what I expected. It’s a stiff straw broom, perfect for car interiors. Just keep in mind that it’s the old school straw broom, so there is some loss of straw as you use it. But it still works much better for certain jobs than the new synthetic materials. I bought two, and will likely buy a couple more to have on hand when these eventually bite the dust.

Organize brooms, mops and long handled tools with this space saving storage rack that utilizes the power of gravity to keep items securely in place and off the floor. Sturdy enough for use indoors or out. Mounting screws included. Plastic. 12.75L x 2W x 3H.

Do you have an old garden rake taking up space in your tool shed? Take the rake part off the handle and hang it on the wall. Now you’ve got a place to hang hand tools or bundles of flowers for drying.

Whisk Broom was one of the best British-trained two-year-old of 1909. On his second start he earned his first win in the Prince of Wales Plate at York Racecourse, but he showed his best form in autumn at Newmarket, when he finished second to the future Epsom Derby winner Lemberg in two of the season’s most important tests for juveniles, the Middle Park Stakes and the Dewhurst Stakes. In the former race he finished a neck behind the future English champion after running very tenaciously.[2] At the end of the year, he was rated the equal third-best two-year-old colt in England behind Neil Gow and Lemberg.[3]

I ordered two packs and both arrived with damaged corners and one panel had broken in two. Luckily, I think the damaged corners will be hidden with trim and the bits broken off are on the back side of the panel so am going to use them rather than try to return them. The problem is that the 8ft by 1ft panels are cumbersome to handle so the delivery person has a hard time unloading them and delivering them. I imagine they are handled badly throughout the process, being long and heavy as both packages arrived scuffed and scarred.

In Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West used a broomstick to fly over Oz. She also used it to skywrite Surrender Dorothy above the Emerald City. The Wizard commands Dorothy and her three traveling companions to bring the Wicked Witch’s broomstick to him in order to grant their wishes. Dorothy carries it to the Wizard with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion after the Wicked Witch’s death.
