Plastic storage bins are a great way to separate and organize your equipment by sport or season. Unfortunately, they usually get stacked against a wall somewhere, which makes getting to the bottom bins difficult, especially for your household’s littlest teammates. Luckily, a permanent solution is only a weekend away with our easy-to-build storage towers that are an attractive and ingenious way to provide easy access to your bins. Consider different color bins for each sport to make finding what you need a breeze, and utilize the sides of the wooden frame for wall-mounted accessory items such as fishing rod holders or utility hooks for lightweight equipment.

How: Houzz user Kara Gilbert sent in this photo of her organized broom closet with a shoe rack on the back of the door — perfect when you need to make a closet work as hard as possible. The shoe rack holds first-aid supplies and toiletries in labeled pouches, while bins on open shelving provide ample storage. A small wall-mounted holder keeps cleaning tools out of the way, and a vacuum with a small footprint sits on the floor.

Id love to buy this shed. Right now I have a metal one that is rusting. This is wonderful because it will never rust. It is also user friendly. I like the idea that you can arrange to put up shelves. This is great to keep things that I use regularly….

Since these are cheap hinges, the securing screw in the center of the hinge plate (the part mounted inside the cabinet in Step 4) needs to be loosened first in order to give the adjustment screw some range of motion. This is not mentioned in the assembly instructions. It’s a bit of dance: loosen the center screw and tighten the adjustment screw a little bit, then check the gap. You’ll probably need to do this at all four hinges and repeat a few times to get a tight and straight gap- be patient with the process. You’ll notice that the center screw will get TIGHT after turning the adjusting screw in the clockwise direction. If this is the case, loosen the adjustment screw a tiny bit to take some tension off the center screw. Like I said, be patient and adjust a little at a time and you’ll be rewarded with barely a gap between the doors. Of course if the doors touch, then do the opposite- counter-clockwise on the adjusting screw first then tighten the center screw.
