Attach a board with hat pegs or coat hooks to the side of your cart. Use the pegs or hooks to neatly hang your tools from the cart so you can reach the easily as you kneel in the garden. This will also help you free up space on the top of the cart for your seedlings, pots, fertilizer, or other supplies.
I purchased a shark steam mop about a year ago and to date, I have been very pleased. I was never very good at mopping and I would always have streaks on the floor when I used a traditional mop. I don’t have that problem with the Shark steam mop. It’s not a miracle worker but it’s a handy little cleaning tool. I’ve found that if you dampen the microfiber cloth before starting it helps a lot. Also, you have to really let it get hot before you start to get the most steam. Another tip I’ve found is that you really have to “pump” the mop and you go back and forth over the floor. The more force you put behind it, the more it will steam and thus thoroughly clean the floors. I use it on our kitchen tile (it doesn’t completely clean grout) and on our wood floors and it always leaves them shinny and clean. Haven’t had any trouble with durability-it works as it did the day I took it out of the box. I highly recommend a shark mop over a traditional mop, it’s just so much easier, achieves the same results!

Adding simple pegs to the wall or to boards to hang on the wall is a great way to get the garage organized. You can add different levels so that you have room to hang longer items and then keep shorter or smaller items closer to the floor. This keeps everything off the floor and makes it look much neater and tidier and, pegs are relatively inexpensive so you can hang as many as you need. Via: Marthastewart – Peg-Rail Organizer
Although the Shark Steam Pocket may not be the best for heavy-duty cleaning, experts and users love it for everyday touchups. Except for the fact that you have to use a bit of elbow grease to generate steam, which owners barely mention, but it’s otherwise extremely maneuverable and easy to use. The Shark steam mop includes a flask for filling the tank — and the manufacturer recommends you do so with distilled, not tap water. As with all steam mops, we see a few durability complaints about the Shark Steam Pocket. Some say it didn’t work or the tank leaked right out of the box. However, Shark gets great reviews for its responsive customer service.
The solution is to create a framework of horizontal wood strips and inexpensive shelf standards. It can hold almost any arrangement of shelving and hooks, at any point on the wall, and it’s easy to rearrange.
Manufacturers indicate that their steam mops can be used on various hard floors, including vinyl, tile, and sealed wood. But all the tested models left residual moisture, some more than others. A wood floor that appears sealed might have crevices where water can seep in and cause damage. Also, some wood finishes or older waxes might haze over. Check with the manufacturer of your flooring to make sure using a steam mop wouldn’t void the warranty.
Repurpose old furniture into storage for your tools. Any piece of furniture with shelves or drawers can be useful when you’re trying to organize your tools, and you don’t have to spend a lot of money on it. Ask your family and friends if they have any old furniture, or check thrift stores or classified ads for cheap options.
Create an all-in-one gardening center with nothing more than a corkboard and some office supplies. Cover the corkboard with burlap and add wall-mount file bins, binder clips, and miniature baskets to create a go-to spot for gardening catalogs, planting guides, seed packets, and markers.
A jaw-dropping living wall of bromeliads is a goal for a significant enthusiast. You can do something comparable on a much smaller scale, or even inside, as soon as you end up being well acquainted with the needs of the bromeliad types you wish to feature.
At TheSweethome.com where Kevin Purdy tests the S6002, he recommends the Shark Genius S5003D as an upgrade for bigger steaming jobs if you don’t need the spray mop option. Owners give it very good ratings too, saying it’s easy to use and they love that flippable pad technology. Again, the main complaint we see about this steam mop — and all Shark steam mops — is that it does not stand up by itself and you have to lean it against a wall.
Look at the space you have available. Can you allocate a wall in your garage or shed for all your gardening tools and supplies, or are you limited to a small space outside? Do you have room for a large garbage can, a shelving system or a wall-mounted pegboard? Once you know what space you have, you can plan which system to use.

We installed pegboard over the sheetrock treatment. Its ok. It certainly has had an easily convertible nature over the last 20 years. Its an active shop area, has a sports car in residence and lots of garden and yard tools etc. If I have a complaint it would be that I should not have trimmed in the bottoms because its easier to blow out bugs with an air hose and tip fitting when you plan ahead but I did not think of it and had to redo the bottoms. Or I could have used channel board but that stuff is heavy.
Exactly what I needed and cut on the miter saw perfectly. I needed to finish up a wall and needed a few odd sizes. The standard panels are 4′, but I needed 5′. So I got this pack, cut them on my miter saw and it was perfect the two 5′ sections and two 3′ sections. Yes they are expensive, but given the wall I wanted to finish and wanted to look good, they fit well.
We don’t recommend Bissell’s scent discs, which provide Febreze-like odors when placed between the cleaning pads and the mop head. (These come standard with the Purple Pet model and are sold separately for the Blue model we recommend). Both mops come with a plastic ring attachment that you can use to run the PowerFresh over your carpet and “refresh” it. It didn’t do much to help a section of carpet that one pet had (ahem) made its own.
For hand tools, you could repurpose one of those hanging shoe organizers, the fabric ones with the pockets (like this one), and hang that on the wall. Then you could use the pockets to store the hand tools. Or you could use a pegboard to hang your gardening hand tools on the wall just like any other tools. (the first tool on the left is my hori hori knife, one of my favorite gardening tools!)
SlatWall MX Strips™ are great for getting clutter off the floor. Measuring only 6in. high they fit just about anywhere. Works great with our full line of storeWALL and Schulte Hooks and accessories.
In the context of witchcraft, broomstick is likely to refer to the broom as a whole, known as a besom. The first known reference to witches flying on broomsticks dates to 1453, confessed by the male witch Guillaume Edelin. The concept of a flying ointment used by witches appears at about the same time, recorded in 1456.
For effective use of space, hang your tools and supplies against the wall. Use a simple wall organizer for smaller items. You may also build pegboard for storage. Another good way to organize your items is to simply hang your tools on a trellis or pegs rails.
The water tank, or reservoir, is one of the most important components of a steam mop. Consider the size of the tank first. The more water the tank holds, the less often you’ll have to stop to refill the mop while you’re cleaning. Keep in mind, however, that the more water your mop holds, the heavier it will be.
In Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West used a broomstick to fly over Oz. She also used it to skywrite Surrender Dorothy above the Emerald City. The Wizard commands Dorothy and her three traveling companions to bring the Wicked Witch’s broomstick to him in order to grant their wishes. Dorothy carries it to the Wizard with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion after the Wicked Witch’s death.

In fact, weathered surfaces are what make those old metal rakes and battered watering cans so desirable, oftentimes for uses other than those for which they were originally designed. The head of a rake, for instance, can double as a wineglass holder, with crystal stems steadied between the tines. Fitted with a dollar-store vase filled with fresh-cut blooms, an old, leaky watering can could serve as a rustic centerpiece on a patio table or a dining room buffet.
Our illustrations and instructional process are based upon a 12′ x 24′ one-car garage with one man-door and one overhead door. We have broken the thinking-process down into the concept of the Long Garage Wall and the Short Garage Wall. This makes sense since they have to be framed separately for the reason that they meet at a ninety-degree (90°) angle at each outside corner.
You should make sure the size of the mop head included will meet the requirements for the area you have. Too small, and it will take you longer, too large and you’ll have trouble getting close to the edges or into corners.
