The Mopnado’s wringing mechanism is similar to the one on the Twist & Shout. Instead of using a pedal to operate the mechanism, you simply push down on the handle. But the Mopnado also has a spin agitator, meaning you actually spin the mop head on the wet side of the bucket to remove dirt and grime, and then move it to the wringer to spin it dry. Reviewers like this feature, saying it does a better job of keeping grime off their mop head, and accordingly, off their floors.
Any time you decide to begin organizing, it is important that you think about labeling things. Without labels you are not likely to know what goes in what container. You can use labels on shelves, boxes and plastic bins or for smaller items like sidewalk chalk, label small buckets and hang them from the wall or the front of a shelf. There are many ways that labels can help you to become more organized. Via: Iammommahearmeroar – Garage Organization Tips
Clean and put away your mopping supplies. If you used a cloth mop, remove your cleaning pad and either throw it away or wash it in hot water with detergent. If you used a traditional string mop, dump your dirty water into a toilet and hang your mop from a hook so it can dry.
We love that the rack accommodates handles of varying size. Also, you can insert the handles at different heights, great for our application where we store our brooms and brushes over our cleaning buckets and mop bucket. Will buy this multiple times.
Buyers who want to clean their hardwood floors without causing any damage will be well-served by the Bona Hardwood Floor Care System (Est. $30), which reviewers say does a good job keeping floors shiny and clean without leaving excess moisture or a damaging, dulling residue. The system includes a mop with a detachable microfiber mopping pad and dusting pad, as well as a 32-ounce spray bottle of Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner. If spraying a bottle of cleaner as you go sounds inconvenient, Bona also offers a Hardwood Floor Spray Mop (Est. $40).
Sweep or vacuum the floor before mopping. Most mops do a poor job of picking up crumbs, hair, and other forms of solid debris. As such, you’ll need to use a broom, hardwood floor vacuum, or handheld vacuum to clean up the floor before mopping it.

It’s the one part of the house that my family tends to let go. We toss our dirty shoes in there, pile our yard tools on top of each other, randomly stack shelves with odds and ends, and have about a dozen junk drawers. And, if you’re anything like me, you don’t want to go in there!
Using your BLACK+DECKER 2.5 Amp Oscillating Multi-Tool and the plunge cutting attachment, carefully make a plunge cut to begin cutting any slots or other interior cutouts in the shelf. Cut several wood shims in 4 lengths to create bumpers to separate tools and keep them upright.
Love is a strong term to use in relation to a couple of pieces of bent metal, so take my I love it star rating however you like. I like these, I liked the price I paid more. A more important measure of the product is to say that I trust these enough to hang my 22′ Little Giant ladder above my brand new car, and I don’t sit around wondering if I made the right decision. Time will tell if my trust was misplaced, but I feel like I made the right choice.

Garage organization starts with getting large tools out of the way. You can build a great rack for rakes, shovels and other gardening tools and you only need a few pieces of wood and some nails. Just cut slots for the tools to stand in and you can get them off the floor and make them a bit more organized. Via: Familyhandyman – Garage Storage Project: Shovel Rack
Even the smallest spaces can help you to get organized. If you have a narrow space beside the garage door, why not utilize that space with a metal cabinet or shelving system? The key is to use as much space as you can to get things put away. A rolling cart that will fit under a workbench is a great way to keep things handy when you need them and out of sight when you don’t. Via: BHG – Storage-Packed Space
Are all your wrenches stuffed in a plastic bucket? Here’s a better idea. Screw a tie/belt rack (available at discount stores) to a bare spot on the wall over your workbench and hang the wrenches—SAE and metric—where you can swiftly nab and put them away in an orderly fashion.
The purpose of the article is to get your creative juices flowing, not necessarily to have you copy what you see. Not everyone has an immaculate double car garage to start with. I don’t even have a garage, but a carport and I have done some really cool things there. Be a little more minded.
Store router bits, drill bits, screwdrivers, awls, pencils, Allen wrenches and hole saws in a chunk of 1-1/2-in.-thick rigid foam insulation. To make this pointy-tool pincushion, just glue the foam to 1/2- in. plywood sized an inch wider than the foam. Be sure to use foam-compatible adhesive (PL 500 is one). Then press the foam into place and let it dry for a few hours. Punch holes for the accessories by rotating a small-diameter Phillips screwdriver or an awl at a slight angle into the foam. The tools will widen the holes to fit as you push them in. Screw the plywood to a shop wall over your workbench and load it up!
HANG ITEMS MOST SECURELY • Simply insert the tool handle into the slot and release it. The rolling balls automatically adjust to each handle’s thickness and grip it securely. Each ball holds up to 7-1/2 pounds of weight. No chance of sliding off!
Organize your tools. Hunting for the shovel or a missing part for the lawn mower can take up even more time than the garden job itself. Set yourself up to be organized — and stay organized — with a storage system that works for you. This could be a garden shed, area of the garage for garden tools, or just pegs on the side of the house under the eaves.
In her book Maggie’s Memories Margaret Wadkin (late of Hickling, near Melton Mowbray in England) describes the use of a mop nail for constructing homemade mops from old pieces of cloth during her village childhood in the early 20th century. The mop nail was made by the blacksmith (if there are any still around, they will be antiques). This nail was several inches long with a point at the end and a flat head a couple or so inches wide. We would stand the nail on its flat head, cut pieces of old material into squares and push over the sharp end of the nail and when enough fix a piece of leather, then push the sharp point into the mop stale or handle. There was a knack of twisting these mops over the wrist to swish away surplus water, every woman could use one of these useful mops.
