It was then that Becker met Ms Ermakova. After five minutes of small talk he followed her into the darkest corner of the restaurant – which turned out to be the broom cupboard – and got down to business.

Merry Maids told us they don’t use Swiffer—or any other disposable cleaning product—because the costs just don’t add up. “The expense of disposable products is not profitable for home cleaning services and may be a drain for homeowners as constant replacement is necessary. Merry Maids’s preference is microfiber dust cloth pads because you can launder and reuse them.”
The transfer of schools programmes to BBC2 led to the introduction of a daytime schedule on BBC1 in late 1986 and this signified further expansion for Children’s BBC. Phillip would pop up before and after Play School to read out the cards of children celebrating birthdays. The birthdays were always presented from one of the two small Presentation studios, from a small set which included a giant cake.

Attaching hooks to a pegboard mounted on a wall is the classic, practical way to hang garden hand tools such as trowels and pruning shears and keep your garage or work space orderly. You can hang heavier tools with long handles on a pegboard too, but you can make a more solid, stable system for them by cutting holders out of PVC pipe which you insert their handles.
You can find vintage garden gear, such as these outdoor spigot handles and spring clips, at flea markets, antiques stores, and online for as little as $1 each. Use them to organize your garden gear with this fun and functional tool rack made from old wood molding, flea-market spring clips, and brightly colored outdoor spigot handles (The Old Time Junk Shop; etsy.com). I bought the Casabella because I trust your reviews. It is a great broom, but the head snapped off mine after three weeks! I am so bummed out. I am not exactly Bam Bam so it wasn’t like I was using tons of force when sweeping my floors. Why, oh, why, can’t companies make products built to last!
With a little planning, you can easily create cabinet configurations that optimize wall space and make way for an office. Tall pantry cabinets topped with smaller cabinets neatly frame-out an alcove that converts to a workplace with the addition of a desktop and a pegboard-clad wall that contributes more storage options.

Before reading this guide, I always shied away from flagged bristles, because I thought they looked prematurely/unnecessarily worn, and they reminded me of various brooms that I’d used in the past that had been improperly-stored (i.e. sitting on the bristles) which also had flagged bristles… After reading this guide for the first time about a year ago, I ordered a Cassabella, and it’s been great so far. I never realized how good *new* and properly maintained flagged bristles could be. Thanks!
Really decent overall. If you’re planning on putting a lot onto it, similar to what’s shown in the picture, just know that the fit is a lot tighter than what’s shown. I’d recommend maybe 2/3 of what’s shown in the picture to have it feel decent if you’re using your tools often.

Breakdowns during programmes on Children’s BBC were infrequent but when they occurred were often entertaining. One episode of Willy Fog suddenly lost picture part way through, before falling off air completely, resulting in an unscheduled appearance by Andy Crane and guest Steve Colman (presenter of quiz game Knock Knock) for some hastily improvised filling.

There’s no universal answer to how long microfiber lasts—that depends on how well it’s cared for, how often it’s washed, how dirty it gets, and how well-made it is to begin with. Manufacturers estimate their microfiber mop heads will survive anywhere from 100 to 500 washes. (How often you need to wash it will vary; once every two weeks worked for us.) Both experts say to pay careful attention to how well your dust mop cleans. When it stops picking up dust—or if it falls apart entirely—it’s time to buy a new cloth.
In the first instalment of his new autobiography, Hold On, Stay a While, Becker revealed that he had sex with the waitress, Angela Ermakova, only hours after his pregnant then wife, Barbara, had gone into hospital with contractions. While Mrs Becker was being treated, the former Wimbledon tennis champion consoled himself with a couple of beers. He then repaired to the bar of the trendy Nobu restaurant in London.
While Andy was busy working on But First This, Simon Parkin returned to present the afternoon links, around a summer schedule including Gentle Ben, BBC Manchester’s sport series Move It!, a We Are The Champions special with Ron Pickering and the 1979 German drama The Legend Of Tim Tyler, dubbed into English. Simon’s features included namesakes – for example the two Paul Daniels seen here, more silly photos and his one-off, yet legendary, impression of Mickey Mouse.
The test material for dust mops was a gently sifted half teaspoon of flour on a hardwood floor, which simulated a reasonable (but challenging) amount of settled dust. Then we washed each of the 15 dirty dust mop heads individually on warm with a small amount of our recommended detergent, and hung them overnight to dry. We tested all 15 a second time with another half teaspoon of sifted flour and a trip through the wash.
Although the patent for this type of Closed Loop Mop Yarn has expired, it is still the preferred dust mop yarn choice of professional cleaners for use on all types of flooring and is the best option w…

Of course families should not be cramped in tiny homes, but does that really have to apply to properties designed as pied-a-terres? There are thousands of central London ‘studio flats’ of less that 363 square feet which would not get approval if they were built now. They might be depressing to live in full-time, but that’s not how most of them are used. They are boltholes and crashpads for commuters who are sick of the five-day-a-week slog to London. If that’s what you want it for, you might not mind sleeping on a sofa-bed and cooking your supper on a two-ring hob — unless you order in pizza or Chinese.
I’m very surprised that you didn’t mention the looseness of the O Cedar’s dust mop head as a flaw. Since it has no locking detents, at all, it moves around too much when picking it up (to flip, sweep up, or store) so anything you just swept gets strewn about as well. I keep sweeping up cat litter and as soon as I lift the mop head to sweep up the litter, the floppiness of the head causes a little to scatter around. I have another O Cedar dust mop whose handle is in the middle of the frame and it’s much more stable, but doesn’t pick up as much detritus.
Brooms come in a variety of styles and are constructed from a diverse range of materials. Some types are best suited for indoor use in kitchens, hallways and other areas that contain hard floors. Others are specially designed for heavy-duty use in workshops, garages and commercial locations.
Synthetic dust mops are commonly stitched in a looped end pattern that prevents fraying and gives better pickup of soil. Because of the looped end construction, these dust mops can be laundered many times. It is also easy to shake them out or use a brush to clean them as well. Since there is no oily treatment, they are easily cleaned.
Why: If you have the luxury of more space for storing cleaning tools and supplies, make sure it’s put to good use by installing a versatile wall-mounted storage system that can handle anything from mops to hammers.
